Résumé La didactique des langues piétine. Avec l'avènement de l'enseignement des langues assisté par les nouvelles technologies éducatives (ELANTE), l'enjeu est plus vaste qu'il n'a été dans le passé et aussi sans précédent. L'ELANTE nous pose le défi d'une exploitation réfléchie et concertée globale des nouvelles modalités de découverte solitaire – le cybernaute est d'abord un explorateur – et d'interaction coopérative. En redéfinissant la nature même des trois pôles qui constituent toute situation d'apprentissage, à savoir, ceux de l'enseignant, de l'apprenant et du savoir (dans le cas présent la maîtrise d'une langue), l'approche cybernautique change fondamentalement notre façon de concevoir l'enseignement/apprentissage. Abstract Language teaching is searching its way. With the advent of the electronic language learning environment (ELLE), the stakes are today far greater than in the past and also without precedent. ELLE presents the challenge of a comprehensive thought-out and concerted application of the new modes of solitary discovery – the cybernaut is first of all an explorer – and cooperative interaction. By redefining the very nature of the three poles of the learning situation – the teacher, the learner and knowledge (in the present case the mastery of a language) – the cybernautical approach fundamentally changes our way of conceiving teaching and learning.
