1. Limitations of TACT
1.1 It cannot be extended.
1.2 It is difficult to record one's
work.
1.3 It is difficult to share one's
research results.
2. The Eye-ConTact design philosophy
2.1 It is a visual programming
environment.
2.2 It has a modular architecture.
2.3 Any component can be replaced.
2.4 It may be slower than simple
tools.
3. How Eye-ConTact deals with TACT's limitations
3.1 Any module can be replaced,
as can the framework.
3.2 Visual maps record and show the logic
of one's exploration.
3.3 Alternative frameworks allow
one to share results.
